Offered as a political bargaining chip by Democrats to Republicans of the Oregon legislature, a law was passed to block the judicial review (that is required by Oregon statute) of the decision to remove gray wolves from the state's endangered species list. At last count, there were 11 breeding pairs among 110 known wolves in the state.
